The UEMS SN-EBN Executive Board invites nominations for the position of UEMS SN-EBN President. The term is four years, starting January 1, 2025, with the possibility of re-election.
Please nominate a suitable colleague or apply personally. The election will be held at the next Board meeting which will be held online in November 2024.

Job description
The activity of the UEMS-SN is within the scope of the activities of the UEMS.
Two delegates from national professional and scientific societies represent each member country. Two plenary meetings with all delegates and invited observers take place every year.
Education of specialists is the main task of the UEMS-SN. In this context, there is a collaboration with the European Academy (EAN), the Council for European Specialists Medical Assessment (CESMA) and the Resident and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) of the EAN. Furthermore, the UEMS-SN has a task in the accreditation of educational events in the European field of Neurology. There is a close collaboration with the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education of the UEMS.
Personal requirements
The candidate should have long-standing experience in neurology, a strong scientific track record, and a leading personality. We welcome evidence of expertise in coordinating research and training in the respective fields. The candidate should have a global mindset and experience in committee work and cooperation with other sections of UEMS and with EAN. You will need an understanding of policy and advocacy processes related to healthcare and medical education As president, you need to be enthusiastic, engaged, and aware of your important role in executing decisions.
Volunteer time commitment
You should be ready to commit time to work for and on behalf of the society daily, mainly via email. Peak times usually occur before the Board Meetings, which occur twice a year. You should also commit to travel and chair at least one face-to-face Board meeting per year, as well as the several UEMS meetings in which the section president is invited.
