The UEMS SN-EBN Executive Board is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the following leadership positions within UEMS SN-EBN:
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
The term of office is four years, starting January 1, 2026, with the possibility of re-election. We encourage you to nominate a suitable colleague or apply personally. The election will take place during the next Board meeting, which will be held as a hybrid meeting on June 21, 2025.

Job Descriptions
Vice President:
Supports the President in leading the society, representing the organization at events, and assisting with strategic planning. Oversees committees, facilitates member engagement, and steps in for the President when needed.
Secretary:
Manages official records, meeting minutes, and correspondence. Ensures documentation is accurate and accessible, coordinates meeting schedules, and supports communication between members and leadership.
Treasurer:
Oversees financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. Manages funds, monitors expenditures, and ensures compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Personal requirements
Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in neurology with a strong scientific track record and demonstrated leadership skills. They should possess a collaborative mindset and proven expertise in coordinating research and training within the field of neurology. Experience in committee work and cooperation with other UEMS sections and with EAN is highly valued. Additionally, candidates should have a solid understanding of healthcare policy and advocacy processes related to medical education. Enthusiasm, engagement, and a commitment to executing decisions effectively are essential qualities for this role.
Volunteer time commitment
Candidates must be prepared to dedicate time regularly to society matters, primarily via email. Peak workloads typically occur before Board Meetings, held twice per year. Attendance at one in-person Board meeting annually is expected.
